Hello All!<\/p>\n
In May I recorded two solo works for two separate Albany Records releases.\u00a0 The first, \u201cMi Tango\u201d is an eight-minute homage to Piazzolla and Buenos Aires by Lexington based composer Hayg Boyadjian.\u00a0 It will be released in mid-September on Albany Records. \u00a0I\u2019ll be giving the public premiere of the 2010 version\u00a0of “Mi Tango” on Oct. 2 in Wellfleet. www.haygboyadjian.com<\/a><\/p>\n The second is a new lullaby by David Patterson called \u201cCounting Sheep\u201d. \u00a0It will be part of an album of his works due out in 2011.\u00a0 www.NoteScape.net<\/a><\/p>\n In July I joined forces with baritone Donald Wilkinson for his album Classic American Songs<\/em>.\u00a0 The album features a number of wonderful songs from Stephan Foster to Broadway.\u00a0 I arranged Eden Abba\u2019s \u201cNature Boy\u201d, and two Stephan Foster songs, \u201cJeanie with the Light Brown Hair\u201d and \u201cBeautiful Dreamer\u201d. \u00a0For the Foster we were joined by Orlando Cela, who, it turns out, did the whistling on \u201cBerceuse\u201d by David Vayo on my New Lullaby <\/em>CD. www.donaldwilkinson.com<\/a><\/p>\n In August I met with composer Frank E. Warren to work on his new lullaby, and received a new lullaby from Michael Veloso, as well as a second lullaby from David Patterson.\u00a0 I also submitted scores to Italian publisher Berben for a possible anthology of New Lullabies, which would be edited by yours truly.<\/p>\n On August 13th I and performed a couple of solos and was interviewed on Fernando\u2019s Hideaway (BNN) by guest host Leonard Caplan (no relation).\u00a0 The interview and performances can be found on my YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LAE-heHMPcY&feature=search<\/a>.
